Chauffeur Jobs in London: Prepaid Private Hire Farm-Out
Take prepaid chauffeur jobs in London or farm out a visiting client's Heathrow transfer to a verified local driver. How LimoFarmOut works for London trips.

Your client books a week in London. A Monday landing at Heathrow, a few days of meetings in the City, a dinner in Mayfair, perhaps a day at the races. They expect the same quiet, punctual service they get from you at home, and they expect you to arrange it.
If you run cars in New York, Dubai or Toronto, you cannot send one of your own. What you can do is hand the trip to a London chauffeur who will look after your client as if they were their own, without ever trying to take them. That is what LimoFarmOut is for.
This post covers both directions: how operators abroad cover a London trip, and how London chauffeurs pick up prepaid work from operators they have never met.
Why London trips get farmed out so often
London is a capital of finance, law, media and diplomacy, and the travel follows. Heathrow is one of the busiest airports in the world, and Gatwick, London City, Stansted and Luton all handle business and leisure traffic too. Executives move between the City, Canary Wharf and the West End. The summer season brings Wimbledon, Royal Ascot and a long list of private events, and the rest of the year has trade shows, conferences and theatre.
Most travellers arrive with a relationship already in place. Their own car company, travel manager or concierge gets the request first. That company then needs a London partner: someone who knows which terminal, which hotel entrance and which route through the traffic at that hour.
How the London trip is covered, step by step
Picture an operator in Chicago with a client on an overnight flight into Heathrow.
- Post the job in London. The operator enters the terminal, flight number, drop-off address and vehicle type. The pickup time goes in as London time, so the chauffeur sees exactly when the client lands locally.
- Pay by card when posting. The full price is charged and held. Nothing unfunded reaches the job board.
- A verified London chauffeur takes it. Their licences, commercial insurance and vehicle documents were checked by a person before they could accept anything.
- The client gets texts in the operator's name. Driver, car and a live tracking link, sent through a private trip number. The flight is tracked, so an early or late landing does not leave anyone guessing.
- Payout after drop-off. Once the trip is complete and the short review window has passed, the driver's payout is released automatically within 48 hours.
If you want to see the operator side in more depth, our guide to handing off a limo job safely when you're busy walks through it.
London licensing: the regulator sets the rules
In London, private hire operators, drivers and vehicles are licensed by Transport for London. The official starting point is the TfL taxis and private hire licensing pages. Airports add their own arrangements for pickups and drop-offs; Heathrow's own site is where travellers and drivers find current information for that airport.
We keep regulatory points general on purpose. The rules belong to the regulator, they change, and any chauffeur doing London work should read them at the source. On LimoFarmOut, the chauffeur runs each trip under their own licence and insurance, and the platform checks that those documents are valid before work can be taken. If a required document expires, taking jobs is blocked until it is renewed, and reminders arrive 30, 7 and 1 day before the date.

For London chauffeurs: overseas work, already paid
The best London work often starts somewhere else. An operator in Los Angeles has a film executive arriving. A Dubai company has a family flying in for the summer. A Paris firm needs a car for a client crossing on the train. None of them know you, and normally that means you drive first and hope the money follows.
On LimoFarmOut, the money comes first:
- Prepaid before you see it. Every job on the board is funded, and the payout is shown before you accept.
- No fee for drivers. The payout on the job is what you take home; the poster covers the platform fee.
- Paid to your UK bank. Payouts go through Stripe to a bank in your country, in 1-2 business days, or in minutes with instant cash-out for a flat $2.
- Room to negotiate. Send a counter-offer if the price does not suit the vehicle or the hours. The poster pays any agreed difference before the trip.
- Extras handled properly. Waiting time, overtime, parking, tolls, extra stops and tips are added through the platform.
In return you agree, on every job, not to contact the poster's client directly. That promise is what makes an overseas operator comfortable handing you their best account. See more on the chauffeur jobs page.
Hourly and as-directed days
Many London requests are not single transfers. A client may want a car for a full day of meetings, a shopping afternoon in Knightsbridge or an evening at the theatre. Hourly jobs on LimoFarmOut start at a 3-hour minimum for sedans and SUVs and 5 hours for other vehicles. The poster lists conditions such as water, a suit and tie or a name sign, and you confirm you meet them when you accept.
The trip around the trip
An operator arranging London ground transport is often asked about the hotel or the flight too. The travel desk searches flights, hotels, resorts and activities through our partner BookingWorldwide.net, and each booking is finished on the partner's own secure site.
Booking a car for your own client
If you would rather book a chauffeur for a client in another city at a fixed price shown up front, without posting a farm-out, the booker below does that.

Frequently asked questions
Can an operator outside the UK farm out a Heathrow pickup?
Yes. Jobs can be posted in any city worldwide, including London. The operator pays when posting and the pickup time is set in London time.
Do London chauffeurs need their own licence and insurance?
Yes. You run every trip under your own licence and insurance. A person checks those documents before you can take paid work; LimoFarmOut does not provide insurance.
Will I be paid in pounds?
Payouts go through Stripe to a bank in your country. Check the payout settings in your account for how your bank receives the money.
What if the operator cancels at short notice?
A poster who cancels less than 24 hours before pickup still owes you part of the payout, and a passenger no-show with you waiting on location pays the whole amount.
Is there a monthly fee for London operators?
No. Joining is free with no monthly fee. Operators pay a platform fee per job, 10% at launch until 31 December 2027 and 20% after that.
