What Is a Limo Affiliate Network and How to Choose One

What a limo affiliate network does, how farm-out between operators works, and the questions to ask before you trust a network with your clients and money.

Every limo company reaches the same limit sooner or later. A client asks for a car in a city where you have no vehicles, or on a night when every car you own is already out. You can say no, or you can call someone you trust in that city and pass the trip along.

That second option is what a limo affiliate network is built for. It turns "I know a guy in Miami" into a repeatable way of covering work anywhere, without losing the client who called you first.

This guide explains what an affiliate network is, how it differs from an informal list of contacts, and what to check before you hand one your reservations.

What a limo affiliate network actually is

An affiliate network is a group of limousine companies, fleets and independent chauffeurs who pass work to each other. The company that books the client is the one that farms the trip out. The affiliate who takes it runs the trip in their own vehicle, under their own local licence and insurance.

The client relationship stays with the company that booked it. The affiliate is paid for the trip, and the booking company keeps its margin and its customer.

Traditionally, this ran on phone calls, emails and invoices. You found a partner through a referral or a trade show, sent the details by email, and waited for an invoice weeks later. When it worked, it worked because two owners trusted each other. When it didn't, someone waited a long time for money, or a client got a phone number they should never have had.

A modern farm-out network does the same job with the trust built into the process: payment held up front, drivers checked before they can accept, and rules that protect the client written into every job.

Why operators join one

The reasons are practical:

If you are weighing an affiliate network against buying vehicles or hiring staff, see farm-out vs hiring drivers vs buying more cars.

Seven questions to ask before you choose a network

Not every network is built the same way. These questions separate the ones that protect you from the ones that just pass messages around.

1. Is the trip paid before an affiliate takes it?

If the answer is "the affiliate invoices you later", you are back to 30 or 60-day terms, and good affiliates know it. On LimoFarmOut, the operator pays by card when posting, the money is held, and the affiliate's payout is released automatically within 48 hours of drop-off. Prepaid jobs get taken faster because the driver knows the money is there.

2. Who checks the drivers, and how?

Ask what documents are required and whether a person reviews them. On LimoFarmOut, drivers upload their driver's licence, any chauffeur or limo licence their city requires, commercial insurance, vehicle registration and vehicle photos, and a person checks each one. Expiry reminders go out 30, 7 and 1 days before a document runs out, and an expired required document stops the driver taking jobs. LimoFarmOut checks that insurance is in place; it does not provide it.

3. How is my client protected?

This is the question most owners care about first. Look for a written no-soliciting promise, a private phone number for the trip, and filtering of contact details in chat. On LimoFarmOut, every driver promises on every job not to contact your client, calls and texts go through a private trip number, and phone numbers or emails typed in the chat are removed. Breaking the promise can close the driver's account.

4. Does the passenger see my brand?

A good network keeps you in front of the client. LimoFarmOut sends the passenger texts in your company's name, with the chauffeur, the vehicle and a live tracking link.

5. What happens when something goes wrong?

Plans change. Check how the network handles a moved pickup, a replacement driver, a late cancellation or a dispute. On LimoFarmOut you can change the pickup time, ask for a replacement, or cancel with the refund shown before you confirm. You have 24 hours after the trip to report a problem, and the money stays held until it is resolved.

6. What does it cost, and who pays?

Look for a clear fee, charged per job, with no monthly membership. LimoFarmOut is free to join. The operator pays a platform fee per job (10% launch fee until 31 December 2027, standard 20%), and the driver pays no fee and keeps the full payout.

7. Does it work where your clients travel?

A network that only covers your own city is not much use when a client books a trip abroad. Jobs on LimoFarmOut can be posted in any city in the world, pickup times are set in the local time zone, and driver payouts go through Stripe to a bank in the driver's country. Directories, associations and farm-out platforms: how they fit together

These are often confused, but they do different jobs.

A directory helps you and your clients find operators by city. The LimousineWorldwide.Directory is a worldwide register of chauffeur and limousine operators.

An association sets out standards for screening, insurance and vehicles. LimousineAssociation.International publishes those standards for professional chauffeured transport.

A farm-out platform is where the trip actually changes hands, with payment, verification and client protection handled for each job. Many operators use all three. We cover that in joining a limousine directory and association alongside LimoFarmOut.

Signs a network is not right for you

Walk away, or at least be careful, if you notice any of these:

An informal group can still be useful for conversation and goodwill. It is just not the place to send a client you want to keep. If your group already works this way, read why chauffeurs are saying no to jobs offered by text and WhatsApp.

Planning the whole trip for a client

Sometimes a client asks for more than a car: a flight, a hotel near the venue, or a resort for the weekend after the meeting. Our travel partner BookingWorldwide.net can search those for you.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a limo affiliate and a subcontractor?

In the limo trade they usually mean the same thing: another company or chauffeur who runs a trip you booked. The booking company keeps the client; the affiliate runs the trip under its own licence and insurance.

How do I find limo affiliates in another country?

Post the trip on LimoFarmOut in the pickup city. Verified drivers and fleets working in that city are alerted and can accept it or send an offer.

Is it free to join a limo affiliate network?

LimoFarmOut is free to join for operators, fleets and chauffeurs, with no monthly fee. The operator pays a platform fee only when a job is posted.

Can an affiliate contact my client after the trip?

Every driver promises, on every job, not to contact your client or passenger directly. Calls and texts use a private trip number, and breaking the promise can close the driver's account.

How quickly are affiliates paid?

The job is prepaid when posted, and the payout is released automatically within 48 hours of drop-off. A new client's first 5 trips are released within 84 hours.

Start covering every reservation

You do not need offices or cars in every city to say yes to your clients. You need affiliates you can trust and a process that protects the client and the money.
