You know farming out could help. You have turned down trips because your cars were busy, and you have clients travelling to places you cannot cover. But changing how your business works feels like a big job, and the busy weeks never leave time to start.

It does not need to be a big job. This plan breaks it into four weeks of small steps. By the end of the month you will have posted real trips, learned how pricing and waiting terms work, and built a simple routine your dispatch team can follow.

Week 1: Set up and get verified

The first week is about getting your account ready, so it is there when you need it.

Day 1: Sign up. Join LimoFarmOut free. There is no monthly fee. Choose the role that fits:

Days 2-3: Upload your documents. If you will take jobs as well as post them, upload your driver's licence, any chauffeur or limo licence your city requires, commercial insurance, vehicle registration and vehicle photos. A person checks each one, usually within a business day. Fleets running party buses, minibuses or coaches also upload their bus operating authority.

Day 4: Set up payouts. To receive payouts, connect your bank through Stripe. Your bank details go to Stripe, not to LimoFarmOut, and payouts are made in your country's currency. Stripe explains how payouts work.

Day 5: Read how it works. Spend twenty minutes on how it works, so you understand each step from posting to payout. Share the page with your dispatch team.

Days 6-7: Tell your team. Decide who can post trips and agree the basic rule: when we cannot cover a trip, we farm it out rather than say no.

Week 2: Post your first trips

Start with simple, low-risk work so you learn the process without pressure.

Day 8: Pick a straightforward trip. A point-to-point or airport transfer you would otherwise struggle to cover is ideal.

Day 9: Post it. On Post a job, enter the route, pickup time, vehicle, passenger details and the driver's payout. If you usually send trips to a WhatsApp group, use Paste from WhatsApp and the form fills itself in. Add any conditions, such as a name sign or water.

Day 10: Price it sensibly. Look at the local guide price shown when you post. Decide whether you want a fixed price, a rising price, or offers. Our guide to pricing a farm-out payout explains each option.

Day 11: Pay and publish. You pay by card when posting, and the money is held until the trip is done. Your platform fee is 10% per job until 31 December 2027 (standard 20%), on top of the payout.

Days 12-14: Follow the trip. Watch it move through En route, On location, Passenger on board and Completed. Your passenger gets a live tracking link and texts in your company's name. After the trip you have 24 hours to report a problem; otherwise the payout releases automatically. Rate the driver.

Week 3: Handle real situations

Now try the parts that come up in daily operations.

Day 15: Set waiting terms. On your next airport job, set the free waiting included and the rate for each extra hour. Drivers see these before accepting, and any extra waiting comes to you to approve after the trip.

Day 16: Post an hourly job. Hourly bookings have a minimum of 3 hours for sedans and SUVs and 5 hours for other vehicles. Set the extra-hour rate, which is also used for overtime.

Day 17: Try taking offers. On a less routine trip, let drivers send prices. Compare the vehicle photos, ratings, paid trips and waiting terms side by side before you choose.

Day 18: Practise a change. Change a pickup time on the job page and see how the driver and passenger are updated. Remember that if you move an accepted job later, the driver may give it back without penalty, so check with them in the chat first.

Days 19-21: Cover a trip in another city. If a client is travelling, post their trip in the pickup city. The time is set in the local time zone, and a verified local driver runs it. See worldwide coverage for corporate clients.

Week 4: Build the routine

The last week turns what you have learned into a habit.

Day 22: Write a one-page process. When do we farm out? Who posts? What payout range do we start at for each trip type? What waiting terms do we use? Keep it short enough that a new dispatcher can follow it.

Day 23: Review your ratings. Look at the drivers who ran your trips. Note who you would want on your best clients' work. Read building reliable affiliates with ratings.

Day 24: Switch on job alerts. If you also drive, turn on alerts so prepaid work in your city reaches your phone on quiet days.

Day 25: Check your documents. Note when your licences and insurance expire. You will get reminders 30, 7 and 1 days before, and an expired required document blocks new jobs.

Days 26-27: Talk to your clients. Let regular clients know you can now look after them in other cities. See turning one-off clients into repeat clients.

Days 28-30: Plan the next season. Mark your coming peak dates and decide which trips you will farm out. Our seasonality guide has a simple timeline.

Frequently asked questions

How long does verification take?

A person reviews each document, usually within a business day. Most chauffeurs are ready to accept jobs the same week they sign up.

Do I need to be verified just to post jobs?

Verification is for taking jobs as a driver. If you also want to drive, upload your licences, insurance, registration and vehicle photos so you can accept work.

Can I post a trip from a WhatsApp message?

Yes. Paste from WhatsApp fills in the job form from the message you would have sent. Check the details, set your terms, pay by card and publish.

What does it cost to try farming out for a month?

Joining is free with no monthly fee. You pay the platform fee only on jobs you post, 10% per job until 31 December 2027.

Is there help if I get stuck?

Yes. The help centre has guides, and every error message has a Report a problem link that sends the team exactly what you saw.
