I Drive and Farm Out: Hand Off Your Overflow Limo Work
Owner-operators can drive and farm out on one account. Take jobs when you're free and hand off overflow limo work to verified drivers when you're booked.

It's a Saturday in June. You're booked for a wedding from noon to six, and at nine in the morning a long-standing client asks for an airport run at two. You can't split yourself in half. You also don't want to say no to someone who has called you first for years.
Most owner-operators handle this by calling a friend, hoping they're free, and hoping they don't keep the client afterwards. LimoFarmOut gives you a cleaner way. Choose the "I drive and farm out" role, and the same account that brings you work also lets you farm out limo overflow work when you're full.
One account, both sides of the market
When you sign up, you pick how you work:
- I drive: you take jobs from other operators.
- I drive and farm out: you take jobs when you're free and post your own trips when you can't cover them.
- I farm out: for dispatchers and limo companies who post jobs but don't drive.
The middle option is made for owner-operators. One login, one rating, one set of documents and one payout account. You can switch later under your account settings without losing any jobs, payouts or documents.
Why overflow is worth protecting
A trip you can't cover is still your client's trip. If you turn it down, your client finds another company, and that company may become their first call next time. Farming it out keeps you in the picture: the client books through you, gets a professional car, and comes back to you.
That only works if the driver you hand it to doesn't take your client. On LimoFarmOut that's built in, not left to goodwill.
Your client stays your client
Every driver who accepts your job promises not to contact your client or passenger directly, not to share their own number and not to take them as a client, now or later. The protections behind that promise:
- Calls and texts between the driver and your passenger go through a private trip number. Neither sees the other's real number.
- Phone numbers, emails and links typed in the chat are removed.
- The passenger gets texts in your company's name, with the chauffeur's first name, the vehicle, a live tracking link and the private number.
- Breaking the no-contact rule can close the driver's account.

Posting your overflow in a few minutes
Go to farm out a job and enter the pickup, drop-off, time, vehicle, passenger and the driver payout. Add any conditions: water, a name sign, a suit and tie. Set the free waiting included and the rate for each extra hour.
Then choose how to price it:
- Fixed price if you know what the trip is worth.
- Rising price if you want it filled at the lowest price a driver will take, up to a maximum you set. Anything unused is refunded.
- Taking offers if you'd like to compare drivers, vehicles and waiting terms side by side.
You pay the payout plus the platform fee up front by card. The launch fee is 10% until 31 December 2027, standard 20% after that, paid by you as the poster. The job goes live straight away and drivers in that city are alerted. You can share it to your WhatsApp groups in one tap to fill it faster.
Follow the trip without leaving your own
While you're running the wedding, you can glance at your phone to see the farmed-out trip move: En route, On location, Passenger on board, Completed. After the trip, confirm it, rate the driver and add a tip if you like. If something went wrong, report it within 24 hours and the money stays held until the team reviews it.
Send your own chauffeur instead
If you have a second driver who works with you, the "I drive and farm out" role also lets you take jobs for them. When you accept a job, choose Send my chauffeur and enter their details, or I'll drive it to go yourself. The chauffeur's mobile is the one that can use the private passenger line, and the poster sees your business as responsible for the trip. That's often the first step from one car to two, covered in growing from one car to a small fleet.
Pricing overflow sensibly
When you farm out your own client's trip, you're pricing from the other side of the table. Pay enough that a good driver wants it, and set clear waiting terms so nobody argues afterwards. If you price your own vehicle carefully, the same skill works here. See pricing your limo for farm-out jobs.
Wedding and event season
Overflow peaks around weddings, proms, conferences and big events, when everyone is booked at once. If you're planning travel around those events for yourself or a client, you can search flights, hotels and resorts with our travel partner here.
Book a car in another city
When a client's trip is in a city you don't cover at all, you can farm it out on LimoFarmOut or book a chauffeur here.

Frequently asked questions
Can I drive jobs and farm out jobs on the same account?
Yes. Choose "I drive and farm out" when you sign up, or switch to it later in your account settings. Your jobs, payouts and documents stay.
Who pays the fee when I farm out my own trip?
You do, as the poster. The platform fee is added on top of the driver payout: 10% at the launch rate until 31 December 2027, 20% after that.
Will the driver I farm out to take my client?
Every driver promises, on each job, not to contact your client or passenger directly. Calls and texts use a private number, contact details typed in the chat are removed, and breaking the rule can close their account.
Can I send another chauffeur instead of driving myself?
Yes. When you accept a job, choose Send my chauffeur and enter their details. Your business is responsible for the trip.
What if the trip goes wrong?
Report it within 24 hours of the trip. The money stays held until the LimoFarmOut team reviews the dispute.
