What a Five-Star Farm-Out Experience Looks Like

A five-star chauffeur service experience from your client's side: booking, a text in your name, live tracking, a verified driver and a clean finish.

Your client does not care whether a trip was farmed out. They care whether the car was there, whether the chauffeur was polished, whether the ride felt calm, and whether they were looked after from the first text to the last bag on the curb.

That is the test every farm-out job has to pass. If the experience drops below your usual standard, the client notices, and your name takes the hit, not the driver's.

This post walks through a farmed-out trip from the client's side, step by step, and shows what a five-star chauffeur service experience looks like when you hand the job to a verified driver on LimoFarmOut. At each stage, you'll see what the client experiences and what is happening behind the scenes.

Stage 1: The booking feels like booking with you

What the client sees: They book with you, as always. Same phone number, same email, same person on the other end.

Behind the scenes: You post the job in a couple of minutes. You add the pickup, drop-off, time, vehicle, passenger name and any notes. For an airport pickup, you add the flight number. You pay the full price by card, and the job goes on the board. If you want to set waiting terms, such as free minutes at the airport and a rate for each extra hour, you do that now so there are no surprises later. Our guide to farming out a job while you're busy with a client covers this part in detail.

Stage 2: A checked chauffeur accepts

What the client sees: Nothing yet, and that is fine.

Behind the scenes: A driver accepts, or sends an offer you choose from. Before anyone can take a paid job, a person has checked their driver's licence, chauffeur or limo licence, commercial insurance, vehicle ownership and vehicle photos. You can see their rating, paid trips and approved vehicle photos on the offer. Read Chauffeur Ratings After Every Farm-Out Trip for how to read those signals.

If a fleet takes the job, they name the chauffeur, so you still know exactly who is coming.

Stage 3: The confirmation text arrives in your name

What the client sees: A text from your company with the chauffeur's first name, the vehicle, a live tracking link and a private number to reach the chauffeur.

Behind the scenes: The private number is a masked line. Neither the driver nor the passenger sees a real phone number. The client's details stay protected, and the driver has every reason to stay professional. See Private Trip Numbers.

This is the moment the trip starts to feel premium. The client knows who is coming, in what car, and how to reach them, without a single call to your office.

Stage 4: The car is on its way, and they can see it

What the client sees: When the chauffeur sets off, the tracking page shows the car moving on a map. No app, no account.

Behind the scenes: The driver presses En route, and both you and the passenger can follow the trip. For airport pickups, the driver has flight tracking, so an early landing doesn't mean an empty curb. More in Live Tracking Links for Limo Passengers.

Stage 5: The meet and the ride

What the client sees: A chauffeur on location before they are, a clean car that matches what they were told, and a quiet, comfortable ride.

Behind the scenes: The driver presses On location, then Passenger on board. Any instructions you gave, such as a preferred seat or a door number, are in the job's notes and chat. If the client keeps the car longer on an hourly job, overtime is added at the agreed rate when the trip closes and comes to you to approve.

What the client does not see matters just as much. No business card is slipped into their hand. No "call me direct next time". Every driver confirms on every job that they won't contact your client or take them as their own. That is the no-poaching promise in action.

Stage 6: Drop-off and nothing left behind

What the client sees: A smooth goodbye. If they left a phone or a jacket, the chauffeur can reach them about it through the trip's private line.

Behind the scenes: The driver can't close the trip without ticking that they checked the whole vehicle. If they find something, the private line stays open for a day so the return can be arranged. Read What Happens When an Item Is Left in the Limo.

Stage 7: Your follow-up, your relationship

What the client sees: A thank-you from you, if you send one. That is the last impression, and it is yours.

Behind the scenes: You confirm the trip, rate the driver, and add a tip if it was earned. If something went wrong, you report it within the review window and the money stays held until the team reviews it. Otherwise the driver's payout is released automatically. Extras such as waiting time, parking, tolls and extra stops have already been added and approved through the platform, so you never send an awkward invoice.

The five-star checklist

Before you post your next job, run through this list:

Small details, but they are what clients remember.

Industry standards worth knowing

Professional chauffeur work is regulated city by city. If you farm out regularly in big markets, it is worth knowing how the local rules work, for example New York's Taxi and Limousine Commission and London's private hire licensing at Transport for London. For finding operators you trust in other cities, the LimousineWorldwide.Directory lists companies worldwide.

Frequently asked questions

Will my client know the trip was farmed out?

The passenger's texts go out in your company's name with the chauffeur's first name, the vehicle, a tracking link and a private number. The experience is presented as your service.

How do I know the chauffeur is up to my standard?

Every driver's documents are checked by a person before they take paid jobs, and each offer shows the driver's rating, paid trips and approved vehicle photos.

What if my client needs the car for longer?

On hourly jobs, overtime is added at the agreed extra-hour rate when the trip closes, and you approve it before it is paid.

What if something goes wrong on the trip?

Report it within the review window after the trip. The money stays held until the team reviews it.

Does the driver ever contact my client after the trip?

No. Drivers agree on every job not to contact your client directly or take them as a client, and the private line closes 30 minutes after the trip.

Give your clients the same five-star service when you're fully booked. Farm out your next job to a verified chauffeur.
